Torque Convert. Shimmy
WELL...GOOD NEWS (I THINK)..
I FINALLY BROKE DOWN AND TOOK THE X IN TO HAVE MY MECHANIC DIAGNOSIS THE SHIMMY. HE SAID ITS NOT THE TRANNY, BUT A SECONDARY MISS IN THE ENGINE WHICH CAN PROBABLY BE CURED BY CHANGING THE PLUGS. I GUESS I WILL FIND OUT FOR SURE THIS WEEKEND WHEN I TACKLE THAT FEAT!! I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS.
THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT.

The results are in.... The X has 80,000 miles on it and the shimmy I was feeling was apparently my sparkplugs!! WHat a relief that was. I was going to change them myself but the manual called for 4.6 hours of labor for this, so i took it to my mechanic. He did it in 3.5 hours. The main thing is that the jerking is gone!!
Thanks for all the input!
