Project is done!
My original ones. Could not get a perfect match for the seats. The seat material ended up darker so new panels.
SS trim I used after I polished it up.
Have the pins that push though and bend over.
I got them out of a 96 Ford extended cab truck. I then found a regular cab pan and sliders to mount them to. I also changed out the passages seat back lever to match the regular cab look. There are some slight differences in the regular cab seats and the extended cab seat and console but as you see they will work. The door panel inserts are custom. By custom I mean the material used is put on a backer that was designed to work with the SS trim that was on the doors with no panel inserts originally. It was impossible for me to find panel inserts with good design trim on them. All the ones I found had the chrome pealing off and or the wood grain insert pealing. Now I have the best of both worlds. Insert panels and a SS trim I can keep shined up! I think it even looks like a stock appearance, nothing to radical or too custom look to it. Fits the look I was going for. Same with using the old material on the newer seats. I matched the vertical pleats on the seats with the vertical pleats in the door panels like it was originally. Well kind of, that’s the vision I was going for. The panels themself are original Ford just cleaned them up along with the arm rests. The dash is my original 73 that came with the truck. The only painted plastic pieces are on the newer seats and console to match the door panels and I think it matches the door panels pretty good. I kept the 78/79 Lariat headliner and visors because they where in perfect condition and I always liked the look and it all matches in color. The original idea as a pleated headliner like the door panels but again the headliner and visors are like new in appearance so I used them.
