2004 F350, 4x4 325k miles recent updates done ARP head, studs blue spring nipple cups, standpipes power side of Ficm,I did all updates except head studs they were done already, I have only have owned the truck for three months ,so I don’t know a whole lot about it started having what I thought was if you injectors, so I rebuilt them with new springs and O-rings , now, number two, number three and number for injectors are not working white smoke exhaust by directional scanner says Ficm is *sync
Correct voltage fuel pressure regulator is correct no check engine light I have triple checked the fuel injectors to make sure I did the work correctly scanner had a code internal PCM error that went away. I tried doing power balance and compression check to scanner scanner came up with cannot communicate with ECM. Please help what do I need to do? Also replaced injector harness already as well and fuel filters
Re-ringing injectors will not fix a stuck or cracked injector, which it sound like you have. Could also be a cracked injector cup (lets hope not).
not sure what to do about scanner not connecting to ecm. What scanner are you using?
to isolate suspected injector without a scantool is to pull injector plugs one at a time watch for smoke going away (assuming its just one), this will throw a ton of codes when your done.
Well, if this was not a problem before you worked on the injectors, and it is now, something went wrong with those injectors. You could try moving them to different cylinders to see if the problem follows each injector. Which would be labor intensive but an option. Or, just replace all of them with Ford rebuilt injectors and move on. They are prolly near the end of their life span anyway given your mileage. B.

i use my scan tool to do injector self test which all but one passed but yet three injectors do not work when I run the engine and use scan tool and disable injectors, one by one I didn’t just put new o rings on injectors 100 tear down new springs and inspect ed spool valves for Stiction ect….
Try them again, if the same three are not responding to scan tool then swap one if not all them elsewhere to see if its wiring / FICM or the injectors themselves.
I'm sure there might be another way but that that's what I would do in this case. personally I would swap 2 /4 with 6 / 8 since its the easiest side to get to.
While swapping them around check for bent pins too.. it happens no matter how careful you are.
