One wire on the fuel injector connector is gone as the picture shows. I looked on RA for the part and nada. Anyone know if these are available and the correct name to search or any advice on what to do. Surprised nothing showed on the KOEO or KOER test for the injector not working because it obviously wasn't. A few of the others look crappy also.
You can fix it if you take your time with what you've got.
You have a hot all the time on one side, you have 2 wires at the ECU that go out to 4 each injectors that get grounded by ECU to fire.
I got spares I can drop in the mail. Maybe even match color code.
Let me make sure I understand what I am doing. It appears that both wires off the connector go to the same wire in the harness?? With my "bull in a china closet' approach the ones you have would be a blessing if you don't know where I can get them myself. I am happy to Zell or Pay Pal you for everything. I better get four of them since I haven't looked at the other side yet. I'm working on my new 95 Dually and trying to get basic maintenance going. Drained trans today for the ultimate fun with no drain plug. I can PM my info if you are ready and payment. Thank you very much for the fast reply and the amazing help. Sandy. Wife has relatives in Louisville and spent a lot of time there.
Peel back/unwrap the pigtail for that injector & tell me the color code is or what cylinder
I've always pulled my FI stuff from the junkyard. I know you can get these new, I just haven't looked.
I got lots of spares & putting one together is no sweat
I'll be glad to send you something you can splice on to & get back on the road & couple spares NC.
I can give you instructions on how to repair what you got, but it requires soldering & working with the biggest, fattest safety pin you can find & I'll throw in pics.
I know the place pretty fair. She know Capertons, Nowels?
The picture is from cylinder 2. Number 1 is about to lose a wire on the connector. Just those two need to be replaced as I also looked at the other side. My preference is to just connect the wires rather than rewire those connectors. She doesn't know those folks in Louisville but has eaten at Lake Tiakata. Her Grand Parents actually lived all their years in Nania Waiya and is where she spent many summers until they passed. Her mom lived in Louisville for several years and is now in Kilgore. Would you want me to PM my addy etc.?
My dad got me a summer job in Kilgore working in the oil fields when I was 16. Did I learn a lot !!! If you ever have a chance to go to Oil Field Louisiana, DON'T.
I am working on a 1995 f350 7.5
But I found them when I followed your link.
I looked on RA earlier and didn't see them.
Thank you very much for the link.
No problem.
I think RA hides things, I've seen them before, then couldn't find them, then find them easily.
I see that 1995 FORD F-350 7.5L V8 Fuel Injector Connector | RockAuto have actual MotorCraft connectors, where the 1994 5.8 does not.
RA shows different parts for different years that cross over, and not the parts that you need for the actual year your looking up.
