June Gloom

June Gloom has arrived but it's only April. It's 2:34 PM in Simi Valley and it hasn't burned off yet.

It was here yesterday, but burned off by noon.

We had a little snow yesterday, April gloom, but it all melted. Spring is definitely showing its face here.

I will enjoy the gray days as long as they want to serve them up. Summer is a drag.

We went out the the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve a couple of days ago. The bloom was spotty, but we found a few good spots. It was cold and windy so some of the orange poppies were still cuddled up. They said it had snowed a few days earlier.

I'm going this coming Monday. If you drive Hwy 150, the back road to Ojai from Santa Paula, the hills are covered with poppy's and other flowers. But not like the above picture.

This is unbelievable!

Hi Anthony, a few of us have left the state. I come back for a visit, but family brings me to the middle USA, where we have nice sunsets (thx Canada).

I'm glad he's not the one with the metal hull and long decks!

What a nightmare it would be to park on the couch...
