check engine light

I have a 99 F159 4wd w/ 5.4. A couple of months ago it started to misfire and would only run at about 400 rpms when it rained. as soon as it ran for a while and the engine heated up it ran fine. I thought that I had a problem with one of the coils and that when it warmed up the water evaporated. Last week it started misfireing all the time. I took it to a repair shop and they told me that it was misfiring because the spark plugs were bad. ( I have 105,000 miles with the original plugs) They also said tha MAF sensor needed to be cleaned. They did this and it ran fine for a couple of days. Now it is missing but not nearly as bad and the check engine light is on. I took it to autozone and had the code read. It reported P0102 which they said meant I needed to replace the MAF sensor. Should I replace it? Is there a post on here that shows how to replace it?

Thanks

replace it the shop you went to seems to be a good one, it sounds has if they where trying to save you some dough by hoping that the MAF was just dirty, since that is a common problem with them

I went to remove the MAF and found that one of the prongs where it plugs in was bent and was not making contact. I straightened it and plugged it in and disconnected the battery to reset the computer. I think the problem is solved. It runs fine now and the check enging light is not on. I think I got lucky and saved $150.
