I’m thinking crower connecting rods irate main girdle kill devil heads. Would you guys do fire rings? Welded piston oilers and coated and Delipped and valve reliefed pistons. Anything I’m missing definitely open and welcome all opinions and advice.
I doubt there’s any drag racing but I’d say definitely little towing. And fair amount of daily driving/play truck I guess I should have given little back story on this truck. It’s a 96 f350 was 2wd now on 01 dually axles and rsk in front. Suncoast trans customer picked that up we installed. I rebuilt a 1356 tcase for it 1410 rear ujoint drive shafts built for rear and a aftermarket flat flange on front of tcase with a Sd style front shaft. Hydroboost converstion and red head steering box and borgeson steering shaft. Fuel 20in dually wheels with 33/12.50 tires all the way around. The owner has no problem spending whatever money to keep it as reliable as possible.
Looks like it's been well taken care of! Are they still running a stock turbo? Seems like a T4 swap and tune would be a big power for them. Probably cheaper/bang for buck then heads and rotating assembly.
Last time I looked at aftermarket ported heads it was a staggering price just for the heads.
Looked up this Kill Devil head thing. Not too bad a proce $4k for "cnc ported" heads, but there really isn't any description of what they flow/do that I saw.
I've read that the stock heads are the primary choke point for the 7.3, but idk how much better these heads are. Never heard of them before this thread.
Well customer showed up today he’s already talking to a machine shop that is supposed to be doing the hole engine job he’s going to purchase one of our core motors. And we will trade out this motor on the work where doing.
So far the downpipe tunneling is going well lots of room now and it’s going to clear the heater box as well
well making some more progress have the firewall tunneling mostly complete inside will get primered and seam sealed. Finished mounting lower mounts of 6.0 trans cooler. And worked on modifying the radiator mounts to give more space for the intercooler and boots.
