I guess someone at Ford woke up and realized that with a minor suspension lift (aka Tremor) the side bed step is too tall so we'll just add another step to resolve the issue.
Lol. Maybe Ford will realize that no one wants this step. It’s an eye sore, and it just doesn’t work. Extended running boards or Amp steps work better and look better. And then there’s the rest of the truck….
During the early pre production showings they mentioned the additional fold down steps that would be available. I think it was Ford Authority that had some spy shots of one with additional bedside steps awhile back. I know the fold down bumper steps are pretty well liked, but I do wonder how many will buy these additional bedside steps.

Well it is something else to add to the list of 23 items you are hating. You seem to feed on that.
Meantime you are in every 23 related thread trashing them daily. Haha
Congrats to FORD. Winner of '23 hideous bed award!

So FORD expects customers to pay extra for something so hideous? That looks like cobbled together garbage! I'm so happy with my '22 SD with its clean lines.

Enjoy your superior 22 my friend ! You win !
The 23 guys are having it rough… and they are taking it out on me instead of Ford. Lol. This thread is literally about how no one likes the side step feature, but you single me out… lol. I really do hope you enjoy your 23, but that sure doesn’t mean I have to like it, especially with my 22 sitting in my driveway. And from the looks of it in multiple threads, not many others seem to think much more about them either. Maybe call them out next time too?
