As far as the supports, the factory supports go to the top of the mufflers. You think I need support above that? I was planning on lowering the overall height a few inches from what it is now. The pipes that are on it currently seem to be doing ok with just the factory support bars. Did your truck not have the same supports as mine?
I will likely keep the rooftop ac as the hole is already there now, so plan on keeping it. My thought was to maybe run it off a APU if I was able to get the factory HVAC system back in working order. It sounds like it will be rather challenging to get the factory system working, but I would sure like to.

Flatten the ends on a piece of tubing and bolt to the angle
My support tube broke at the top of the base bracket that’s attached to the frame
Most likely caused by the East coast and Michigan roads I traveled a lot on
When the air ride cab is working properly they ride so good one doesn’t realize how rough the road might be
I broke the front springs on mine twice due to rough roads
The heaters on mine worked find and never had issues with zone control for the heat, but keeping all of the AC lines and connections from leaking and slowly loosing freon was a on going challenge
The roof top AC took care of the freon leaks
A small joke on me
I started trucking at the time these trucks first came out and remember well the first one I ever saw
I was at a small truck stop in Ohio and had just woke up, I crawled out of the sleeper into the passenger seat to get woke up and put my shoes on
A short stocky man walked up to a new CL9000 double bunk setting beside my truck
He open the door and grabbed the hand rail to climb in, well the cab dropped down and leaned over about 6 inches scarring the bejesus out of me
I thought that frigging cab was going to turn over on top of the driver and my truck, I jumped across the cab of my truck to get away from it
