My '90 F150 4.9 does not have intermittent wipers. I've found some old F150s at a yard. What do I look for to tell if the wipers are intermittent or fixed speed? What parts do I need to pick? Any links to pics?
Are you sure you don't have intermittent wipers? If you do, they're activated by turning your wiper switch counter clockwise, past the off position. Here's a pretty good video of adding the intermittent module
I removed my "black box" intermittent module from underneath the dash, instead of going through the front. Either way, it's in a tight spot and mine was held on by one screw with a 6 or 7 mm hex head.
Your 1990 still has the wiper switch on the dash?
If so,
The intermittent ones have a stand alone intermittent wiper module that plugs into the back of the switch on some of them
Also, the switch turns backwards or CCW to go into the intermittent delay function
Get both the switch and the intermittent module wiring
