You drilled out the secondary jets? Are the threads shot or can you get them out to replace them. The Primary jets are bigger than secondary, but the primary jets have metering rods hanging in them.
I bought a Edelbrock #1477 kit, and went through my 1405 that had been in use since 12 or so years ago, only replaced the accelerator pump plunger with the cup on it. I don't recall it having new jets. I even reused the top gasket, so my kit is still sealed as I had a separate FP plunger on hand.
Threads are still ok. The brass started to fracture with a flat blade screwdriver. I used an ez out bit and was able to get the fittings to unthread. The rebuild kit doesn’t have new jets but they have kits with new jets, needles, and springs.
i just wasn’t sure if 101 on the primaries would make that big of a difference when stock jets are 100. Now that I think about it, I can likely reuse the primaries I removed and just get new secondaries.
Yeah, in retrospect I should have left them alone. One of the bowls has some corrosion I wanted to try and clean up and made the decision to try and disassemble everything.
