I dont wanna shell out the big bucks for one of the pre formed automotive carpets out there...Is there any alternatives such as going to a carpet store and buying some carpet? If not what else could I Possibly use
I recently tore out my carpet....i like it a lot better without it. I expected it to be loud at highway speeds....but it really isnt. I would suggest getting some el cheapo floormats and save for new carpet.....if your set on it. You might be able to get a roll of automotive style carpet from a trim shop....but im not sure. Even if you can the amount of time spent cutting and forming it would probably outweigh the money saved....
I personally plan on doing what someone else on this forum did and Rhipo Line or line-X, whatever, my Bronco throughout. Love the looks, durability, and easily washed out.
Yeah, you could just take out all the carpet and Rhino-line it. that would be cool!! You could also get them to Rhino-line it, the color of your interior. I think it;s only like $50 extra!!!
For the front i went to a carpet store and found out for about 80 canadian or 50ish american i can get automotive carpet. With the help of an adhesive i think i should be able to do something good with it
Wont you have a little trouble gettin it to lay flat in your bronco? Isn't the carpet custom molded for your vehicle? Wouldnt it be all bubbly and stuff?
But the carpet they had was for automobile and marine applications so the backing is a bit different. It seems fairly flexible and with an adheisive it should hold down well I think. Once I get the stuff and try and install it ill know for sure. If it works well ill post it so others know there is a cheap alternative to the expensive pre mold
