Upgrading to 4 button key FOB after adding remote start
So I added remote start to my 2018 F350 and have a couple spare 4-button key FOBs that I want to switch over to. I see on the F150's that it requires changing the RTM (Remote Transceiver Module) but the part number listed for the F150s does not appear to work for the Superdutys (according to Ford's parts page). Can anyone confirm that the RTM needs to be upgraded on the Superdutys for the 4-button key FOB to work and if so what the part number is? Thanks
I am assuming your truck like mine came from the factory without remote start and the 3 button remotes
your truck is equipped with a 315mhz RTM for the tire pressure monitors
the part number i listed is a dual frequency RTM 315mhz for the tire sensors and 902mhz for the 4 button key fobs
it is located in the headliner above rear the right rear passenger headrest
you also have to enable the remote start feature using forscan
