F6000? VIN Help

Hello all! New to the group. I am looking at possibly purchasing an interesting truck. Guy says it's a 1969 F6000. Everything looks original but having trouble researching these trucks. It was a mobile home toter truck 0from Iowa and spent it's life in Colorado. Has Ford/Caterpillar diesel. VIN is K60VKF51617. I have decoded my friends 69 F250 and my 70 F250 no problem on here but having trouble with this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

K60VKF51617

K60 = F600 Diesel (MPC always does this--the "F6000" is referred to elsewhere, like badging and the shop manual)

V = Caterpillar 175 HP diesel engine, 8 cylinder, 522 CID

K = Kansas City Assembly Plant

F51617 = 1969 numerical series, August 1969 production

132 = 132 inch wheelbase

No color code, see below

K602 = F600 diesel, 19,500 lbs GVWR

B81
B = Light Blue Woven Plastic/Corinthian Rib/Corinthian Vinyl
81 = Custom cab

M = Clark model 285V five speed direct transmission

E2B
E2 = Eaton model 16244 two speed rear axle, 17,500 lbs capacity, 6.17 / 8.58 ratios
B = Ford front axle, 5,500 lbs capacity

19500 = 19,500 lbs GVWR

162 3200 = 162 certified net HP @ 3200 RPM

514456
51 = Denver District Sales Office
4456 = Special Order Number--a sequential number for special orders. All the usual suspects are present here except color, so that might have been the special order item.

The warranty plate, if original, on the driver door, will have transmission and axle info. EDIT decode completed see post 5

I'd bet it has Dayton style wheels, but if not, beware of the widowmakers still in use in '69.

A shorty.....beware spinal compression!

An F-6000 is simply an F-600 with a diesel. The reason for the '6000' was dealer franchise agreements. Back in those days, a regular Ford dealer could sell and service trucks up to the 900 series, larger trucks could only be sold and serviced through Ford heavy truck dealers. Ford didn't want regular dealers working on diesels, so the medium duty diesels were all number in the 1000's, like F-6000, N-7000, ect.. The large Super Duty gas V-8's were the same as they only came in 900 or higher trucks. In the mid-70's Ford introduced the oddball F-880 which was an F-800 with a '475' version of the Super Duty that regular dealers could sell. The reason for that truck and engine.....
