I bought the Ford maintenance plan as I am an"old fart" having a tough time getting around. Went to the friendly dealer to get service & wheel Brgs repacked at 44000 miles.I was told it was not covered untill 60000 miles. In my old school mind that's a long spell on Brg greasing.the owners manual specs 30000 miles for towing, but still denied.Called Ford customer serv and got same run around. So here is the catch, if I have a brg failure before 60000 mi my Ford Extended Service plan does not cover items on maintenance list. sounds like Ford "speaks with forked tongue" I think I have been flumixed.. Sorry for the Long Post, needed to vent and warn guys about these kind of problems. 2019 F250 6.7 2wd
I've heard that the maintenance interval can be one of the downsides to these maintenance plans, meaning they have set intervals that might not align with the frequency the owner prefers. When you purchased the plan was there an option for a severe duty schedule, or just the normal service schedule?
My experience with Ford customer service is that they like to blame the dealer, stating that the dealerships are independently operated and trying another dealer might get different results. Which it can in some cases, maybe not with this type of issue.
