Navigation - How is Route Calculated / /Decided Upon?
Trying to understand how the Ford navigation makes decisonson which route to take. I have a 2022 F150.
Two weeks ago today I left the parking lot of my workplace on the way to Biloxi MS. I put in the address of the hotel. I followed the directions and had no problems. Worked well.
On the return trip I put in the address of the parking lot from where I left two days earlier and it brought me back a different route.
Then on Wednesday of this week I had to make the same drive again. Once again from the same parking lot to the same hotel. The navigation took me a whole new way, and then slightly over 24 hours later when I headed back, I put in the same address as before, to my parking lot and I was brought back a whole new route.
So two round trips to the exact same place both ways and I was taken on 4 different routes.
Not once did I chage the settings in the navigation system in my truck, and not once did the system ask me about an alternate route, nor did it re-route because of traffic.
I had no problems on any of these trips. Just trying to understand why 4 different routes were given?
