Rattler package
So I have been playing around building trucks on Ford site. I came across something that said not available with the rattler package. But haven’t seen the Rattler package. Is my question is just what is the Rattler package? I have heard rumors of an off road package for xl and xlt trucks. But have yet to see one. Would this just be a F150 thing? Would it be available on regular cab and super cab trucks?

My 22 came with the rattler package at not extra charge. I’ve spent every day I’ve owned it trying to remove it. Everything in and on it rattles.

From what I have been reading, the F150 Rattler package was just an exercise in marketing and only intended to give some soundbite from Ford to stir up some interest. It was apparently "sold out" as soon as F150 order bank opened, even though you had to order it, so obviously it was not something they intended to make a lot of.
The good news, nothing on it "offroad" oriented was anything the FX4 wouldn't give, so it was just an appearance package. In fact putting dual exhaust below the rear bumper seems like a step backward for offroading.
