2011 TPMS Sensors Won't Program

Hey guys, I put aftermarket rims on my van. I bought new in package OEM 9L3Z-1A189-A TPMS-12 TPMS sensors and installed them. They will not program. I get into programming mode and the horn honks then I go to drivers front and let out air pressure and nothing happens. What could be wrong?

My buddy lent me a universal programming device and I tried that too and still nothing.

Did you drive around for 5 min to wake up the sensors first?

I did, the second time, after I read that somewhere. The dash light changed from solid on to flashing now after that drive. Now it flashes as soon as it starts but still no programing happening.

Did you buy the sensors from Ford or and aftermarket like Ebay??? Places like Ebay will sell Ford packaging but they're cheap knockoffs and are not going to work.
Did you try programming in out of order sequence? Sometimes if the first sensor is bad it will not program, so maybe try one of the other wheels.
Did you go to https://parts.ford.com/ Enter your VIN number to make sure that the sensors you have are actually meant for your truck?

I did buy them on eBay, for $45/set. But they say OEM. Made in united kingdom on package. Here's the packaging they came in. Do you think they are fake? The seller has sold 160+ sets according to eBay.

Yes, I did try different sequence. Still nothing. Yes, I did confirm that's the correct part number for my van. If I knew this was gonna be a problem I would have kept my old ones. But I wanted new ones to hopefully not have problems. 🤦‍♂️

Well I know there's a lot of counterfeit parts that are sold on Ebay. I bought a new headlight switch for my truck Motorcraft brand off of Ebay. It's loose fitting plug and the dimmer doesn't work but I don't care because the headlights work now.

Try a tire store, they might now have the software to help you out
Fords are the worst for programming IMO
I can do my Mercedes but had to send my buddies Bullitt Mustang to the dealer

One of the problems I've noticed trying to program is that if you are attempting to let out air by depressing the valve core stem it sometimes doesn't work. This is because the slow rate the stem lets out air. The training session times out before the air pressure drops enough. I bought a $20 Ford TPMS training tool off Amazon and no more problems. You don't even have to wake them up by driving around the block.

I was definitely thinking a tire shop could do it. Or they'd try to up sale me on their stuff. But I want to be able to do it myself once I figure it out.

I bought the Motorcraft programming remote tool on eBay as well. It was $12. I tried it and nothing happened. My understanding is that's for the early models that didn't have the programming mode? When you use yours, do you activate it, then let the air out?
