idling problems 1989 ford f250 5.8l
rough running ford f250 5.8 i just joined and i am having a problem with my 1989 ford f250. i have replaced every ignition component , main fuel pump and filter and getting over 30 psi pressure, new o2 sensor and ran seafoam thru both tanks. the truck idles rough and stalls sometimes. i have checked timing and it will run good once you give it throttle. does anyone have any idea what my problem is ? i would appreciate any help or advice! thanks ford forever89

check for codes, even if check enginge light isnt on, could have stored codes, does pressure go up when you blip throttle(or remove and plug vacuum line on fuel pressure regulator)

i had to put a new battery in . not sure if codes will show until i drive it some. i will check. if i throttle up pressure is 35 and if i remove the vacuum line it is 40 but then it still idles rough thanks for your input torq'ta 5.8 ! much appreciated ford forever 89

A rough idle with good high speed performance is a good indication of a vacuum leak. Pull and cap all your vacuum ports on your intake manifold (except your map sensor) and see if you idle improves.
