F250 Grille

First post on here. Bought an 05 f250 xl so it has the black plastic grille. Is the higher trim chrome grille metal or just chromed plastic?

On my 99 its chromed plastic. Mine is cracked also and when I looked on Rockauto a new one was fairly cheap, IIRC $140

I don't think there has been a metal grille, from the factory, in decades. You might be able to find an aftermarket one though.

I honestly don't think there's been a metal grill since the early 70's My 74 Ranger had a metal grill I think?? But I know my 78 F250 had a plastic grill.

my 2000 was a plastic, I have one in my shop that is stating to peel and was replaced.
