Griots Garage recommends misting on some "Speed Shine" to enhance the effectiveness of their duster. I am not familiar with speed shine but I assume that it is the same as many other quick show detailer products.
I just bought one from the parts store around the corner for pollen also.
I have not used it yet or even looked that close at it, just put it behind the seat.
I will try and look tomorrow if it has information on washing and if it needs recoating after
