fe starters

what starters work on fes 2 bolt or 3 bolt.

Three bolts. They are FE specific.

not that i would recomend it , but i took a 3 hole starter of of a 82 /302/ auto and put it on my 390/4 speed,and it worked , dont know for how long but it got me off of a mountain and back home and it is still working better than the one i had shipped in from down south, thanks bob

i wanted to apoligize , it seems that a friend of mine swaped noses on that starter from a two hole to a three hole with out takeing credit for it before bringing it to me . i am thankfull for friends who are smarter than i am

I like it from the standpoint that if it ever goes bad, you just switch the nose to another early 90's Ford starter from your local parts guy and you are back in business. And that's not to mention all the room I have for headers and the intrinsic advantages of the PMGR starter besides sounding kind of cool!
