The plug that comes with the Banks is a right angle type, so it sticks out (maybe) an 1/8" beyond the open port. No way will it interfere with anything for me.
I do not have a warranty any longer and I didn't "settle" for the throttle controller. The way I look at it, these trucks have TONS of horse power in stock format, and I don't need more, however these throttle controllers really help deliver the power sooner without going wide open. My wife's 2020 Honda Pilot has a push button on the dash for economy mode, turn it off and it comes alive...almost like a throttle controller is what I would describe it as. It truly is an experience one must feel while driving. Yesterday I put it in "track mode" #10 and from a stop I smoked the back tires (35's), never did that before with this truck, I have it in city mode #5 and I'm real happy with this setting.

So would a tuner, from what I am hearing. Also, while it can give a little more power and efficiency, if that is no interest to you, fair enough. In the 7.3 diesel, it was able to change the shifting strategy and points between towing, race and street. If this extends to these trucks, I'd have to say that I experienced what you are talking about. With being able to change the tip in and shift strategy and points, just doing the tip in, kinda feels like settling. If only we could change on the fly. That would be the cherry on the sundae.
My '97 7.3 had the Banks goodies back in the day, Swamps injectors, Tymar cai, etc, it was fun but compared to my '17, it wasn't even close. These newer diesels are insane stock, and now with a throttle control it is alive the entire power band...without a tune and a mere cost of $262, plug and play.
If you kick it, you would be kicking the dashboard, or kicking the port all the time.
Can barely even see it. Making such a big deal over nothing.
I did the AFM dongle my C7. Didn't want to try it here since I will probably risk a tuner and have more say over the truck that a dongle that is a "one trick pony" which was my complaint on the C7.
Hi - also going to reach out to Banks support today - but anyone else getting faults on their Banks Pedal Monster?
The Code is: 1.2: APP2 Input Voltage Out of Range.
You need to unplug from the OBD2 and it will reset. But the next time I shut the truck off, it goes to a fault.
I recalibrated the pedal - that didnt help either.
Wondering if its related to firmware vs a software update on the truck....
All I can offer at this point is to verify your iDash has the latest firmware, thats probably going to be the first thing they will ask you. Also you can plug an OBD2 code reader into your truck to make sure it is communicating properly from the port.
