I’ve got a leak on 94.5 f350 7.3 powerstroke. Over the weeken and a long road trip my truck has developed a fast oil leak. It was leaking out the clutch cover, I removed the cover and can see it leaking out the crank, not running on the pan at all. It leaking fast drip drip drip. It only starts leaking after 30 seconds of running. Vally is dry. Turbo o rings have been replaced within the last couple years along with a deleted pedestal. Oil gallery end plugs are dry. I’m only lead to believe it the rear main -_- any input would be appreciated
Double check the valley. All fluids from valley exit starter side through a channel. Fuel leaks can look like oil. Rear main fail is not common and you will need to pull trans to replace it.
if going this route now is a good time to check clutch and up pipes for leaks. Also check driver's manifold last mounting bolt near oil filter if missing. Replace it anyways.
Cleaned the motor real good and held dry paper towels to all potential leaks. Let the truck run while I did this checking all area above the rear main seal, and it was dry unfortunately. My leak is definitely from the back of the motor wherever it be the rear main of engine back black. Guess the motor is coming out
The oil pan is also leaking. The clutch cover actually rubbed a whole through the pan, which I fixed with jb weld actually but I would like to install a new pan, fix the dip stick. Re gasket the motor and install valve springs push rods and a 364.5 while it’s out😎
