Well, I just got my acceptance letter and packet today, and so far, it looks great. I was actually preparing to send off 2 more applications to UNC-Charlotte and UNC-Asheville, but since NC State was my first choice, and I heard from them early, I am not gonna bother with the other schools.

But it never hurts to have a backup plan. You might not want to limit yourself. I know what your saying about it being your first choice, but if something unforseeable were to happen, which i hope doesnt, then you dont want to be scrambling to get in more apps. Just an idea!

Other schools might offer a better financial aid package. I know that I was too hasty in choosing a school, and its leaving me with a debt that would have gotten me three years of tuition at a state school back home.

NC State is 35 miles from here, and for in-state tuition is around $12,000 a year, and I'm in the running for the Park Scholarship, which is a full ride, as well as the Caldwell, another full ride. Also, I've got a stack of scholarship applications you wouldn't believe and hopefully I can get a bunch of em. I know this will sound far-fetched, but I'm hoping to get at least one full ride scholarship that will cover every thing for college, and enough extra to be able to get me a new 2004 F-150 FX-4. That's what I'm shooting for, and I'm filling out every scholarship application I can get my hands on to help make it possible.
