Sorry if this has been asked, I did try a search. How come some of the 2020+ Superduty trucks have a rear sway bar and some don't. Is it due to some have the Dana 14 bolt vs the Sterling 10.5" rear differential. Thanks
My 2003 Superduty had one and my new one does not. Is it a must for towing?
My 2019 in the sig line did NOT come with a sway bar and I didnt know why either.
Ive got a 30 year old Suburban that came with one, so why not a $60,000 truck that is MADE for towing!?? Oh you want the TOW PACKAGE with that truck MADE for TOWING?!?!?
Anyway, I installed a Hellwig Big Wig sway bar and could immediately tell the difference
First of all, it arrested so much sway that it snapped the sway bar bolt on one side in the first month of use. So, it definitely arrests some forces down there. I called Hellwig and they immediately sent me some new larger bushings (that I never installed) and I just installed more bolts that were grade 8 and positioned the drop links a little differently and have been GTG ever since.
UNLOADED I would get that wheel hop business all the time.
LOADED I would get the sway, especially in long bends in the road and when being passed by big rigs
I could immediately tell an improvement in both areas.
It's a cheap part to buy and easy to install. No reason not to do it and you'll have an improved towing vehicle.

Nope, not needed at all for towing IMO.
My truck doesn't have a rear bar and I tow a lot, don't miss it at all.
Would be handy for a slide-in camper though, something top heavy like that.

Really? I'm surprised to read you say that. Your rig looks like a lot of trailer and your truck looks like a SRW long bed like mine..

Yeah, and so???
Our newest trailer, that I pulled this past weekend, is a 42 footer-15K GVWR, of course it only weighed about 12.5K since it wasn't full of crap.

well let's be fair, you also have the ideal truck for heavy towing being the longest wheelbase possible, and the lowest possible height(if I remember correctly you have a RWD setup)

Well, everyone else should spec their trucks as well as I do!

On my 2022 it was a $160 option to be camper certified. I haul a small slide it camper. My salesman thought I was crazy for adding it but I'm really glad I did. It added the sway bar and the helper spring on my f250
The front sway bar in my Jeeps have had quick disconnects. I installed manual disconnects in my 2004 TJ, and my 2012 JK came with electronic discos.
I wonder if manual rear discos are an option for an F250? The end links would have a large cotter pin and bushing, and would tuck out of the way when disconnected. The only impact to the truck would be the modest weight of the sway bar until needed.
