I bought some turtle wax ceremic hybird stuff tol give a try. I applied it on my hood, front fenders, half my tailgate, and the tailgate camera. After 3 coats i cant say it does much for the paint, but my camera has been stayed significantly more visible in the rain.

With my new trucks, I use the lanyard.
The issue I see with those holders, is that one bump with the pump nozzle, handle, or the wide rubber guard on them...and now you are chasing the cap around on the ground. And we all know it will roll right under the center of the truck...
My Mazda has a little cap holder in the door from the factory (along with a lanyard). A gust of wind will knock the cap off the door, so I'm not too trusting of them with my experiences.
