Well...I suppose my high idle problem has been corrected....and by the way it is efi....apparently after having the battery disconected, the computer needs time to reset itself.next question...I am told there is a rating tag under the hood, telling me what rears I have and so forth...anyone know where this is....88 F-250 HD 4wd efi..also would there be any place telling me what options this truck has???thanx alot guys
It's not under the hood. It's on the driver's side door post.
You can also get axle codes off the tags on the differential bolts on both the front and rear diffs.
The sticker on the post has to be decoded. There will be a two digit code that needs to looked up in your owner's manual. The diff tag will have something like '3 55' for a 3.55 open diff or '3L55' for a 3.55 LS diff.
