Where can I find a decent schematic of the vacuum lines? The sticker in the engine compartment does not have "all" of the lines. I have a Haynes book and the picture is fuzzy and next to useless. Thanks!!
The engine is not running right. Especially cold natured at start-up. I want to check "all" the vacuum lines for breaks and insure they are hooked up correctly. It would really be good if there was a simple explanation of the function each vacuum line performed when it was operating correctly. Or, the consequences, if the vacuum line was not doing it's job. The engine compartment sticker does not show "all of the lines". The brand new Haynes book that I have contains what must be a fifth generation photo copy which is too fuzzy to be of any use. This is the "long winded" version of: I just want a complete picture so I can check them all out". Thanks for any help. Joe
I only found a picture of the underhood sticker for a 1988. It shows a vacuum cource on the drivers side near the back of the upper intake running a line to the brake booster, the FPR and the auto tranny. The source on the passsengers side front of upper intake goes to the MAP, the bi-metal valve on the air box and the line that run from the bi-metal to the control valve. And the lat stuff is the PCV system which runs from the TB to the PCV valve and the hose on the other side running valve cover back to the TB. I don't know if the EGR system on your truck would have another line.
