GLO PLUGS

Just over 100k and manuel says to replace glo plugs so will be doing that. I'll have someone install them for me because I've never done that.
any idea how much it'll cost me?

What are you driving? My 2019 manual does not list glow plugs as a maintenance item.....oh wait, I see you said "manuel", as in someone named Manuel told you to?

Glow plugs are about $200. Plus labor. But why change them unless they are malfunctioning?

And he wants to make money by doing work not needed.

Might want to do a brake job too.

That kinda begs the question, why are you here asking about pricing instead of just asking him? His word is all that matters.

You can change them if you want, isn't a horrible idea. Some guys change them at 100k as preventative maintenance, at least here in the northeast. I change my wife's battery at 5 years if it makes it whether it needs it or not. There's a price on inconvenience.

You should change your "glo" plugs at @ 100,000 miles, just make sure they are gapped properly.

Changing at 100k is solid advice on the 7.3 and 6.0 with its sub-12V Beru glowplugs (I hated those things) but on a 6.7 the general conscience is it is not required and should only be serviced if they are acting up.
