i have had more Trucks than I can remember. I own and operate a construction company. I cater solely to real estate investors. I have been in business since 1988. I have been in the business for the past 41 years. However during that time I have owned other business as well. I enjoy working on houses.
However I enjoy working on cars and motorcycles more. My first car was a 1955 2door bel air. My second was a 56 delivery wagon. And I could list each and every one of the cars I have had but it would take to long. My real love is in the old ford trucks. Right now I have a 1966, F100 shortbed. It’s in my shop I got a really good deal on it. It had been “restored” 8 years ago. After buying it and digging in deep. It just had a rebuilt crammed motor. 302 out of a 71 Torino. A rebuilt tranny. (Maybe). Shaved all around. Door handles, steps are gone. Dash is filled. Front clip
,fenders, grill all are one piece. Turn signals are moved. Tailgate. Then has a fuel cell in the bed. (Was full of water) has pop locks on it. But after all that it has a very crappy peeling paint job. It looks like maybe moisture got under the paint or primer. Causing it to peel and kinda of break off.
so the day I went to pick it up. It was being sold by the owners nephew as the owner was elderly and about to pass on. I paid and received a bill of sale. He promised to find the title. The owner passed away that morning. All was verified. Anyway. In 3 months I haven’t received a title, and can’t get ahold of the nephew. So I ran a NCIB check which comes back clear on every point. I checked a couple of other places but since the vin isn’t 17 characters it won’t check. I then paid for a report from Bumper.com. It came back with a stolen record. From 14 years ago. So I have halted all work on the truck.
it’s been started motor checks out perfect. Runs great. The truck was operational except for the wiring which was in extreme disarray so I am currently rewiring it.
But I just found and managed to get a 1964 F100. Brought it home 02/19/23.
the cab is in phenomenal shape.Best one I’ve seen. It’s sitting on a mid 70’s Chevy 4x4 fram with front end and transfer case. It has the in cab gas tank and seat as well as the Chevy undercarriage tank. No rear end. Cab is mostly stripped down but it is a custom cab and all chrome and emblems are present. No hood.
So that’s me I like fixing them up. Both as a frame off resto. And as a make it work truck.
Below the blue truck is the 66’ shortbed.
the White one is the 64 4x4
