transmission function test.
Can u tell if your rebuild job on 4r70w is correct prior to installing back into truck? I can't turn it and it turned stiff as hell ( on pre-assembly) but after in case i cant turn nothing. New bushing are in and were tight going together. Im struggling on this 1. Dont wanna take trans back apart for no reason. Anybody got ideas? .

I am no expert. I rebuilt one 4r70w just last month. Most of the bushings I replaced were tight at install but were easily "loosened" with strategic hammer blows in the right spot. Stacking the components in the case I made sure everything spun freely as I went. Before I torqued the pump or installed the valve body I made sure it spun freely. By "spun freely" I mean I had to get a tight grip on the shafts and put some force into turning it but the amount of "force" is a relative to what? The force needed seemed what might be considered normal to me, a first time experience rebuilder. The rebuild works as I expected would.
I used the Transmission Bench video series as my guide. The tutor in the series repeats many times that if something doesn't seem right, figure out why.
