2003 PSD limited costs???
2003 PSD (not the new 6.0)
4x4 limited with limited slip, and power heated, extended mirrors...(this years limited already has the climate control, etc etc)
for $41750 after the rebate out the door.
Experts insight???..

They are also more than eager to take my 2001 4x4 supercrew lariat in trade on top of things...I have my own financing at 4.9 fixed...so I wont complain on that.
Great site!...thanx for all the input.
Thanx all!

Your deal sounds to be right about at dealer invoice ($43,800 - $44,000 minus the $2000 rebate). Depending on the options, there is about $5100-$5500 difference between MSRP and invoice on a Limited. I think that you ought to be able to buy at invoice. Maybe a little lower. Make them show it to you.
Sorry. Does the $41,750 include sales tax? Around here, the tax alone would be $2500, so are you buying for around $39,250 ($41,250 before rebate)? That sounds pretty good for a '03 7.3 PSD 4x4.
Of course, the real question is the value of your trade. They may give to you on one end, and take it from the other.
If you want a 7.3 PSD, you had better hurry. They have made all that they are going to. The dealers around me only had loaded 7.3 PSD, with the DVD player ($1300!!!). I really just wanted a plain XLT. I found one 100 miles away and grabbed it. Go to
www.dealerconnection.com
and you can check inventory a Ford Dealers around you.
The 6.0 PSD has no rebates, and not nearly as good of deals. Costs $1000 more than the 7.3 PSD too. So that 6.0 PSD will cost you at least $3000 more than the 7.3. To some, a small price to pay, but too much for me.
Yep its invoice plus 199.
tax isnt an issue, my state residency is Alaska so no sales tax etc.
tabs, plates, reg, etc and related is $78.00 for two years on the Excursion.
Good point on the 7.3, I know all the woof is about that 6.0 motor, but then until it hit the 7.3 was THE motor, so its nothing to throw rocks at...and lots of stuff, fixes, etc for it out there.
Thanx for the insight...need all I can get before I take the plunge!

For those of you who bought the 6.0 Good for you. I envy you. I just was not willing to pony up the cash. My old '99 7.3 was good enough. My X is not an every day driver, so the extra zip is not something that I get to use every day.
From my experience , i will NEVER buy a new model year car , or engine ever again. Their are gonna be issues/recalls/etc with any first gen motor. I think it might be mroe headaces than it's worth. I would give ford atleast 2-3 years to get all the bugs worked out. I wouldnt want to pay almost $50,000 to own a test bed for there new motor/trans. combo....
