4r70w A4od

I just bought a 96 Bronco with a 5.0. I think the tranny is a 4R70W. I know trucks with bigger motors use the A4OD. Is this not a good trans? What is the difference?

4R70W and E4OD were both used in Bronco. The E4OD is a bigger transmission that was based on the C6 with an OD added. 4R70W is an electronic version of the AOD. Both can work just fine with the 5.0 in a Bronco.
