i posted a thread on the offroad 4x4 forum but didnt get much response so i thought i would try here:
i have a F150 4x2. i was gonna get 31s (largest size for 4x2) but after some thought im not sure if i should stick w/ a smaller tire. heres my reasoning: since 31s are the largest i can go, i wouldnt have hardly any space in the wheel well in the front. i want to do some moderate offroading and i was wondering if that might cause any problems like the tire hitting the well?? a quick response would be appreciated since i am planing on getting them later today! thanks in advance!
If you are going to off road at all I would recommend 29 or 30(max). You need the articulation and flexibility. The explorer pro-comp mud terrain tire (what I currently run) is a good tire with excellent wear and low road noise. I have a lifted truck and can easily fit a 39 under it but I want and need the flex and artic. for her. by the way I run 35's.
