I was just curious if any super duty owners have received the full screen Android auto/carplay update?
I got the 3.5.2 update (preparing for larger update) about a month ago. I know most of the newer f150's have been updated but no telling how long it would take to hit the super duties.
Who says there will be an update like that for SD's???
F150 owner's get all the good toys, SD owners get CRAP.
you havent been keeping up lol. First you will get a gateway module update, then eventually(not sure when), an APIM update will come. If you dont want to wait you can pay for FDRS and do the update yourself its definitely out there. I have the SD update on my SD APIM in my truck.
The update(s) are coming. A few people have posted the dealership can do it. Otherwise you got choices: Wait, or buy the FDRS and do it yourself.
Considering all the cool ForScan stuff that's available why not spend a bit more get a 2mo FDRS subscription and the correct OBDII connector. Anytime after that you can activate the FDRS for whatever you want.
The update is rolling out... I had an update yesterday that gave me full screen, but today it is downloading and installing another update that seems to be a bit bigger. Curious to see what that update entails.
I should be taking delivery of my 2022 shortly, maybe... I think. Would it be typical/expected of a dealer to download/install any updates available before delivery?

no lol the dealer doesnt update all the modules before delivery, they could care less. but while youre there ask them to do it. youre missing out on a BIG update.
No, I went in and connected the truck to my phone's wifi hotspot and then it automatically started checking for downloads and installing them. With that being said, the downloads are pretty big at several GB each so it takes a while.

Does the truck have to be on or running to update? Will it update if it is off?
