Greetings folks, my 84 f150 doesn’t have a dashpot (see pic). My question: is this in fact normal OR is the part missing? I am trying to adjust the curb idle and came across this almost by accident. My thanks for your thoughts. BF150 My set up minus the dashpot

Don't need it. Sometimes it was for emissions, and sometimes it was to prevent stalling with a automatic transmission if you goosed the throttle with it in gear while stopped. If it stalls when you goose the throttle with the trans in gear, stop goosing the throttle.
