I found a 2022 on line at a dealership close by. It's pretty close to what I was looking for. Is there a date on the window sticker that tells when the truck was produced. I'm just wondering if this is one of those trucks that sat in some field for 6 months waiting on parts. Thanks for information.

Yes, production date is on the window sticker, as well as the door jamb sticker.
But, be wary of vehicles found on the dealer website, doesn't always mean the truck is a dealer stock truck, could be one ordered for a customer, could be that it isn't even on the ground at the dealer yet.
Often new trucks go live on a dealer's website automatically when the truck gets built.
My truck was listed on my dealer's website inventory weeks before it got to the dealer.
Thanks for the info. The only date I found is right below the MSRP price. It is 9-8-22. It is on the lot. Would you be worried about buying this truck??

I once bought a Ranger that was 5 months "old" when I got it. Never had any issues. Drove it 275,000 and 12 years. Sold it to my preacher and he drove it to 450,000.

Before all the pandemic delays, back when dealers had lots of stock on hand, vehicles might sit for quite a while before being sold.
I wouldn't sweat the time it has been sitting at all.
The real question is whether it is a good deal or not and if it is the truck you actually want or need.
If the answer to that is yes, buy it and don't look back.

I would not let the situation you're suggesting stop me.
However I would crawl around under it with a pen light and see if I saw signs of rodent damage if thats what you're concerned about. From my experience of having rodents in vehicles, you can see little bitty footprints in the dust on everything and droppings as well as actual nests. But I'd look for the little footprints, that is, if the dealer hasn't smeared SoulGlo on everything to "prep" it.

That's true and a good way to look at it. My 2019 had been in dealer stock for almost 4 months when I purchased it, that was common. Some would sit all year and become a leftover. I remember one SD that had some dealer installed stuff like lift, wheels/tires, it was on that lot for well over a year before it was gone.

LOL, mine never had SoulGlo on it. But the Royal something is clean!
If it had been me, I would have already bought the truck, taken a few pics and posted them here, and been firing a .45 out the window blaring Hank Jr. and heading to get some BBQ in my new truck
