Rented fuel pressure gauge from autozone with the Ford shrader adapter-wasn't getting fuel out of the shrader so i put a new one in the rail. Run the motor and push the pin and fuel sprays out so obviously the shrader is functioning. Thread on the adapter that goes on the shrader with a wrench very snug for the gauge, thread the gauge on that and nothing-Like the pin in the adapter isn't pushing open the pin on the shrader-anyone else had this problem ? Yes. This happens with some of the adapters. Easiest thing to do is to remove the valve core from the Schrader valve with a normal tire-valve removal tool.

I had same problem 5.8 thought loaner gauge not working took it back bought a new one with same results fuel would spray from rail nothing on gauge, it's not enough pressure to read any #. I ended up replacing in tank pump and high pressure and filter

 

My fuel selector valve is bad so maybe it just doesn't have enough pressure-i'll take the shrader out and try to check it then
