I have a 97 f-350 with a bed that was definitely beat up beyond salvage - I found what seemed to be an okay bed on an 88 but the rust under the fiberglass flares is real bad. I was looking for panels online and can only find single rear wheel weld in pieces. Has anyone here ever found ones for a dually?
I may have enough between both beds to make a single bed but if I could repair the one while it is off then just swap when it’s done that would be the easiest.
I’ve seen some nice bed repairs / restorations posted, hope to add another success store to the list!

I've never seen them except the single ones. LMC truck you could call and ask. If it was me id find a single rear wheel box in good shape, who cares if the fenders are rotted out, than find some fiberglass shrouds at the auto wrecker. I can tell you how to keep the rust off these boxes too. I got a 95, 20 years in rust belt Alberta driven year round and no rust!

I had a feeling that may be the answer, I’ll call a few places and see what they have or know for panels.
I will certainly take any rust prevention advise - wouldn’t want to put in this work to watch it decay!

Get a tube or few of Lucas red and tacky grease (depending how much you want to cover). Pick up a couple of wax toilet bowl rings from the hardware store. I used a tube of grease to half a wax ring. Heat and mix it all up in an old cooking pot. Brush it on the INSIDE of the panels. First though take a garden hose and get everything rinsed out and let it dry before brushing. Hard to reach areas I use chain lube or fluid film. Good for years! Once a year I'll respray the hard to reach places like inside the doors, cab corners, and front fenders. The grease wax mix is a one time application. Best thing I've tried. Take the factory foam out of the cab corners also, they are moisture collectors. They say you can't stop rust. That's what the body shops and dealerships want you to believe! 👍
