Over heated

Hey guys
I have a 77 f150 with a 400. While i was droving one of the radiator hoses broke. I noticed the white cloud following me so i pulled over. thankfully i could cut the bad part of and put the hose back on. well i did'nt think about howmuch fluid i'd lost and when i started home it overheated to 240. I let it cool down for a while then filled it up. Is there anything i should keep an eye on or be worried about. it was only @ 240 for a couple minutes.
thanks
David

P.S. Yes i am goin to replace the hoses completely.

It should not hurt it, but if that is an original engine(unrebuilt), the head gaskets may be already questionable.

Just watch your water level, and check your oil for signs of anti-freeze(white goo).
