Hey all - put a set of weather techs in a new to me '03 SD. Super stoked on this rig but getting back to functioning how it was designed to. The new mat shifts around a bunch on the drivers side - the retaining clip is missing. Has anyone bothered replacing one?
For some reason I knew that photo was Henderson! I wonder if you can run a screw into the spot where the clip used to be? If so, use a big washer so it won't pull through.
(I lived in Boulder City 81-83 when Henderson had about 25,000 people. Mostly government houses from WW2. There was a 10-15 mile gap between Henderson & Vegas and there was no freeway. Only Boulder Highway.)
On an '03 F150 I did nutserts and 1/4-20 button head bolts. Works really well, but there was not a pre-existing broken factory keeper where I needed to drill.
I just run some SS screws through the corners of the mat into the carpet. Find a hardware store with a good screw assortment and they should have interior trim screws with washers that'll look like they were meant to be there.
