I swapped a 1980-1986 flare side bed onto my '79 f-150. My '79 has a 8' bed so I stretched to box to 8'. I have the steps that came with the box I used, cut them in half and was just going to use a piece of diamond plate to lengthen the step area.
My questions are, did Ford make a bullnose stepside with an 8' box? Does anyone make reproductions of the steps? Thanks.
GM did make a 8ft stepside box, I had one. It was a 1966 model. Don't know when they quit making them, but possibly you could see if one of those would fit.

Ford in the earlier years also made a 8' and a 9' Express bed flare side bed trucks.
