diesel 2 or 1 and diesel mileage

Diesel 1 or Diesel 2? I JUST FOUND OUT WHICH ONE I WANT!

I usually fill up with regular diesel when back when i was 15 in on coloroda (yankee territory ) I noticed on the sign it said diesel #2. I was like what could be the difference.

Well i was filling up and i was REALLY low on diesel on my truck one day. So i filled up with it accidentaly. I said it cant make that big of a power differnce. Roads were dry and i take off in second gear every time, and i gave it the normal gas when........

SCCCCCCRRRRRRRCCCCCCHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

My head jolted back in the seat and the tires were roaring up a storm, i shifted just from instinct and went into third. I was STILL scratching my tires into third gear!

So my question is. WHAT DO THEY PUT IN THAT STUFF??????

lol im only gonna fill up with that if my buds wanna run'um or i just feel like having more get up.

Is it mixed differently or was my fuel filter acting like a kid in a candy store and going wild?

Also question number 2 if this. I want to know the gas mileage my truck gets. I know my old 250 fot 20-22 if i babied it and went about 55. and it goes to about 18 when im 60 117 or 16 when im at 65 and over 70 it goes lower and lower i think.

Does a 4 wheel drive 350 with 35inch super swamers get about 18 possibly 19 miles to the gallon goin 55 15-16 going 60 or more and interstate travel at like 75 gets about 14-15?

I dont want anEXACT answer im just curious as to wether or not i get about that much. Cayse my 350 burns just a little bit more than my 250 and i knew it got good gasmileage, even with the 16 inch tires on it

No. 1 diesel is usually the winter blend. It won't gel in your tanks like No. 2 can. No. 1 usually has lower cetane ratings. The higher the cetane, the better the truck runs.

Not sure on the mileage though. Never owned a 6.9.

I run 37's Super Swampers on my truck and just returned form Idaho about a month ago and got about 15MPG going 70MPH (by a GPS). So I would say if you kept it around 55MPH or 2100Rpms you could probably score around 20MPG. I am not sure. SO did you fuel up with #2 or 1, I couldn't tell from your story. I think all of the fuel I get is #2 but if its not I would like it. Are you planning on putting some lift and tires on your truck? Send some pics, these trucks look awesome with some altitude. Yes they do i just LOVE the way the old fords look with those big tires, its just looks like a bad *** rough truck ya know. I allready have 6 inches of lift and 35 inch super swampers. I thinking about getting another 3 inch body though after christmas. When i get a job my ultimate goal is 9 inches of lift with either 40's or 44's

Cant have my headlights more than 55 inches off the ground though, then its illegal here in LA. But theres a loophole....FOG LIGHTS . But yeah your right our old ford looks so awsome with those big tires, i can help but admire mien when someone else has to pull it up or something, ill try to get some pics on the internet soon, can you post some of your ford, i wanna see

I tried both, no1 and no 2, but never really tested the difference in millage. One thing I found in the fuel filter was something that looked like white wax deposit? Was it wax? Not sure but i did put some antigelly fluid.
Over 32, i did not notice much difference with no2, but a bit different in the wallet, you'll have money left to buy your tires
