I'm not a moderator but I know how to do what you want. Simply click "User CP" above left of the web page and go to "List Subscriptions", click that then on the right side click "Empty current folder" click yes when prompted and done.

what i do is go into user CP, and on subscribed threads cluck unsubscribe under the thread title.
or on top of the subscribed page under the page title click the box that says subscribed. this will prompt you to a "do you want to unsubscribe from this thread" click yes, and it will not show up in unread posts any more.
