Anyone have front mud flaps ? I’d like to see some pics if you would be so kind to post them. Thank you
I picked these up at the corner autoparts store about 35 years ago. The names were changed to protect the innocent. They're generic non drill easy install, took minutes per flap.
I always thought they'd be temporary and to my surprise they are still there doing a pretty good job. I haven't washed my truck for a while and you can see it does shield the body aft of the wheel. Without them you get a lot of mud and dirt plastering the body after the wheel wells. And damage to the paint. I'm due for a new set after 35 years or possibly some clean up and reinstall of the old ones. But yeah you need them...
Thank you, sir. I’m a lucky owner of a very nice flareside with pretty wide tires. The tires are beginning to attack my paint. Looking for some visuals already in guy’s trucks. Tires and wheels look too nice on there to go smaller. So I’m considering some flaps and probably some clear viny from 3M that will protect the rockers. I’ve used the clear 3M on other things in the past and was very pleased with it.
Even with my stock tires I need a little outboard flap. But with oversize wheels and tires I often see wheel well flares. They are moulded and are vehicle specific. Then front mud flaps are still needed but not always used for looks.
