What is the lower threshold for tire pressure before the TPMS sets code? 22 F350 4x4 SRW Reg Cab STX, Thanks

I believe when a sensor detects tire pressure below 25 percent of your recommended pressure, this would be set based on the sticker in your door jamb. You can change those parameters with Forscan.

Part of the mandate requires the tpms light to come at no more than 25% psi difference compared to recommended psi. Manufacturers can set them to trigger at less than 25% though. The one time my light came on it was 20% below recommended pressure.

Mine came on when I lowered them down from 80Psi to 62Psi for the rears, the fronts are lowered from 60Psi to 50Psi, and haven't triggered the low tire pressure warning...
