What's the difference?

2000 X 6.8 150k. Lately I've noticed a fuel smell, and some fuel leaking when it's filled. I'm thinking possibly fuel filler neck? My question is I see to prices on all parts web sites... the cheaper price is Ford Build date after 11/00..... mine of course has a build date of 2/00
which is the more expensive one.... like 200 more
can someone explain why this is and possibly give me the right part number... thanks in advance..

You should be able to get the P/N by just calling the dealership parts counter. As to the other question, I'd have to guess there was an engineering update.

I believe you are looking for YC3Z-9034-BA but they are discontinued. Your most likely choice is aftermarket.

When I changed my full pump a while back (2000 Ex, 6.8L, 4x4) the filler neck got damaged. I got a couple of feet of flexible filler hose from the parts store and cut it to length. Works just fine!
