Can't be with a factoryrear gear. Third at 5k is triple digit speeds. Unless the tach is wrong or someone swapped in a 5.xx gear.
Since we don't know the gear ratio, I'm just spit balling here but to explore possibilities knowing the rest of the truck, a C6's gear ratios are 2.46:1, 1.46:1, and 1:1 (or at least that's what I recall off the top of my head).
If you only make it to 2nd gear, with a 4.10 gear, a 29" tire, and 70 MPH is about 5000 RPM.
If you're stuck in 1st gear, with a 3.08 gear, 29" tire, and 60MPH is about 5000 RPM.
Is this truck 4 wheel drive? Is the transfer case stuck in low range? Transfer case reduction ratio on a BW1356 is 2.69:1.
Yea it can't be? I run my E4OD in 3rd fairly often. 4.10 gears, 33" tires, and while yes I have a lockup converter it isn't anywhere near 5k RPM. In 2nd I'll run it out to 65 mph on occasion and that's up over 4k RPM, without lockup & going 70 mph I'd be getting near 5k RPM. I bet that C6 isn't going into 3rd.
