im not very fond of it ive had a 50 50 experience. bought a car and knew the tranny was bad from the listing. brought it home put in remained tranny. went to drive it and all was good there but it had a short in one of the computer control plugs that showed up after the car warmed up. but still drove it that way for about 6 months till i hit a deer. then bought a 2 for 1 deal on some bronco II's. well they were rusted really worse then the discription and the pics. looked like the pics must of been taken years before the sale. 1 was suposed to have a rebuilt motor (30,000 miles) and it ticks worsr then the 1 i have with 300,000 + miles 2 blowen tranny lines role pin in distributer broke on the way home. $175 tow bill to get it the rest of the way home cause triple a unlimted plan only takes you 100 miles. the other bronco they said was for parts and was the better of the 2. it made a 500 mile trip with no problems. theres still other problems with the suposed good 1 ive not said yet but i dont fell like writing a novel. it boils down to this if you want it go inspect it yourself, they told me what i wanted to hear when i told them that the 1 with an auto was the 1 i was hopeing was the good 1.
Mine b2 came from ebay, flew to south florida and drove it back to arkansas...1250 miles.
its been a great truck, a few problems, but no more than i expected from a vehicle with 125000 miles. my 66 stang came from ebay too...even better experence.
I've had excellent luck on Ebay. I even bought a transfer case for my Bronco II for the unbelievable price of 99 cents( cost me 50 bucks to have it shipped from Ca though) but it's still working great a year and a half later. But, like anywhere, you have to be cautious when buying used parts.
I have purchased several items from sellers on ebay. Very satisfied with all sellers and parts. Although a word of caution is in order, rememeber you are buying sight unseen mechandise - read buyer beware.
I have been on both sides of the coin, selling and buying. Sometimes, there is just no pleasing a customer. I had 1 that expected a perfect, brand new OEM part, even tho the add stricly stated used, with scratches. On the buying end of things, I have been fairly happy with all purchases. I have purchased a couple of vehicles. Just have to make sure that they are a good enough deal ahead of time, and ask lots of questions. Make sure that the person selling has good feedback and all should be well.
